| What is a Manufacture Home? |
| |
| Manufactured homes, formerly called mobile homes, are
built in a factory. Each home conforms to the US government's Manufactured
Home Construction and Safety Standards (HUD code), rather than to
building codes enforced at the home's destination. Each home or segment
of a home is labeled with a red tag that is the manufacturer's guarantee
the home was built to conform to the HUD code. HVAC is different with
regards to manufacure homes, especially in heating furnaces. These
furnaces are self contained units located on the first floor level.
This differs form typical home heating furnaces which are not self
contained and usually located in the home basement. Comfort Tech is
factory authorized on all brands installed in manufacture homes. |

| Manufacturer's Warranties |
| |
| The type of new home warranty you're going
to get with a mobile home will vary by manufacturer. You can expect
all reputable manufacturers to cover defects in things like workmanship,
electrical plumbing and heating systems. If the home comes with appliances,
such as a dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine or dryer, those
are generally covered under the appliance manufacturer's warranty. |
